About Us
With Allah’s mercy & blessings upon our establishment, HIC aspires to be a true anchor of the growing Muslim community in Northern Maryland with its diverse backgrounds, democratically governed Muslims population. HIC prides in; transparency, equality, justice & fairness, while giving importance to each Muslim in the community and at large. In accordance with the IRS; HIC Corporation is officially registered as a Non-Profit Organization with a 501(c)(3) designation.
Our History
In February of 2018, the residents of Harford County, Maryland banded together to create a transparent union, a true Muslim identity, an everlasting local Masjid, a safe-haven for all its residents. Hence the; Harford Islamic Center [HIC] was born and Masjid Ibrahim was established at its primary subsidiary.
HIC Structure
In following the Sunnah & adhering to the Islamic law, HIC has adopted the Islamic Democracy advent, as the governance criteria to adequately manage all its affairs of the organization including; Masjid Ibrahim. Our full- functioning operating panel consists of 9 Board Members who have been carefully chosen by the members of the HIC Family. HIC Mission
HIC is an organization that aims in providing services in accordance with the Quran & Sunnah, while understanding and adhering to the challenges of the American Muslim experience. Our goal is to provide a safe-haven for all Muslims to learn, educate themselves with the teachings of our beloved Prophet Muhammad [Peace & Blessings Upon Him]. Each chapter under HIC will build on this mission and grow in its realm.

HIC aspires to become a true vessel for the growing Muslim community with diverse backgrounds, democratically governed, relating to one another with inclusiveness and tolerance, and interacting with neighbors in an Islamic exemplary manner. HIC’s vision is to be a model Muslim community that fosters inclusiveness, vibrancy, education, and creativity for the future generations of this beautiful way of life called; Islam. We truly hope to develop a Muslim community of great morals and excellent practices.
